Application Advice:
Read the questions carefully and try to choose the most relevant example- not the one which sounds the most impressive. Really research the company values as these aren't just website slogans but wholly applicable to every day life. Also make sure your market research is spot on- the industry is so well documented and transparent there is no excuse for not knowing about the brands, locations, senior business leaders and of course, regulation in the tobacco industry.
Finally be prepared to be asked about your opinions on the Tobacco Industry and park any doubts you might have about ethics until you get to assessment centre- they will soon be answered.
Interview Advice:
If you get through to assessment centre- be yourself and don't try to dominate. ITG recruits team players and those assessing you are looking for potential colleagues- not for who can best regurgitate something the Student Room told you about being the 'timekeeper' or 'moderator'. Just act as if you were in the scenario- offer practical advice and your natural personality show- introvert or extrovert there is genuinely no type. Also don't be intimidated if you don't think you have the relevant experience- ITG looks for potential, not achievements to date- so use the most relevant examples, not the seemingly most impressive.

It is imperative that you allow yourself time to prepare for it so do some research into the company before you apply.
