What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

You don't need experience in IT to get on this programme. CC look for people that they think will fit into the company, and who has the potential - not for people that know it all already. But equally, if you are invited to the assessment day and they think you are better suited to another role, they have been known to give other offers.
Try and come across as genuine, enthusiastic, willing to learn & develop, sociable etc.
If you get invited to the assessment day, use the evening before to get to know the assessors as they'll be scoring you from the start and the next day, but also the other candidates - you'll do a couple of group tasks the next day so it does help if you get on!
