What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

I love the range of projects I get to be involved in. I love a challenge and pushing myself out of my comfort zone, and my colleagues at Claritas have given me many opportunities to do that, which has really helped in expanding my technical knowledge. The work environment here is amazing and I have work alongside the friendliest, most supportive people. I also love the fact that I can ask any question, to anybody here, at any time and I know I will be helped and supported.

Worst

I honestly do not have a 'worst thing about my job'. I have truly loved every second since I started.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £29,000 - £31,000

Current salary: £31,000 - £33,000

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Stand out and showcase your best qualities. The graduate job market is challenging, with so many applicants for each role, so standing out and showcasing your best skills is key. Research the role beforehand, and consider how you can apply and relate any previous experience or education to a role in tax.

Do you have any interview tips?

Be yourself! As nerve-racking interviews can be, take a deep breath and enjoy the process. I loved the opportunity to talk with existing employees at Claritas, so ask them questions too! They will have the best advice and give the best insight into the world of tax, so their responses are invaluable.
Whilst in the assessment centres, get to know the other candidates and be friendly; there are many team-work opportunities , so having a good rapport with the other candidates only makes the process smoother.
