What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

Depending on your placement, quite often no one day is the same. You have the opportunity to interact with a wide range of people. Most often, you have a lot of responsibility early on. A network of graduates exists to support you and there is the opportunity to secure a mentor to help you with your career. Wherever you go, you'll gain an insight into how logistics actually works. It can be challenging - the key is to find reward from your experiences where possible.

Worst

Again, depending on your placement, there may often be monotonous tasks that you must complete. There can sometimes be a lot of administration. Whether a placement is worthwhile is often based on (not including your own aptitude) your manager's attitude to your placement and their plans for you.

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Do your best with the assessment. Take it as a learning opportunity. If at first you are not successful, take any feedback that the company provides to you and use it for future opportunities. Think logically about the questions you encounter during the assessment. Don't be too long-winded in your responses.

Do you have any interview tips?

Keep calm. The interview and assessment centre are testing you on how well you perform under pressure. You don't need to be 100% perfect at every task. You need to demonstrate potential, a willingness to take feedback, the ability to listen and courage to challenge yourself.
