What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

Balance of stretch and support - you are constantly being stretched to take on new responsibilities and will be trusted with a lot of responsibility very early in your career. This is difficult and scary, but a very effective way to learn incredibly quickly. With the stretch comes a lot of support - Line Managers are always available to help and will encourage you to develop solutions that they can then help shape and support you to deliver.

Worst

Lifestyle - Travelling and being away from home Monday-Friday is tiring and isn't very flexible. Work hours can be long at difficult periods - typically a week is 50-55hrs but can stretch higher than that for short periods.

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Be yourself - half of getting in is being somebody that clients and other Newtons would enjoy spending time with since we spend so much time together. Maintain a high level of professional respect - Newton needs to know you can be trusted to be professional with clients. Don't be afraid to speak your mind - people will respect what you have to say.
