What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Try to emphasise your scientific knowledge, particularly physics, as a basic understanding of some science is useful and is not necessarily something that every applicant has so it will help you stand out.

Make sure you have some knowledge and experience of working on Linux systems.

Do you have any interview tips?

Familiarise yourself with programming concepts such as Semaphores, Linkers, Object Files, etc.

Even if you don't know the answer to a question try to make an educated guess based on what you DO know. A lot of the job involves not actually knowing the answers but requires you to have the right mindset to figure them out (problem solving).
