What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

I get to work with great people who even though they are busy themselves, they always make time to explain something to you.
The work-life balance is very good - the office soon empties at 5pm, and although there may be times you need to stay late to finish something it isn't encouraged,
I have a nice blend of sitting behind a computer carrying out analysis and actually going and talking to other colleagues/stakeholders.

Worst

Unless you are clear to your manager about the work load you have on, you may find yourself very busy and feeling a bit chaotic! The key here is clear communication.

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Spend time really working out why you want to apply to Centrica/the specific stream as this will help you form your application questions.
Practice some psychometric tests before doing your Centrica application as you will be asked to do these, so it's worth making sure you are comfortable with them first.
Do your research on Centrica and any latest news stories effecting the industry for your telephone interview.

Do you have any interview tips?

Research into the values of Centrica and think of key examples where you have demonstrated such a value, have these examples ready to hand as you are very likely to be asked such questions.
There may be a "curve-ball" analytics type question, where the interviewer isn't interested in your answer, but rather your thought process.
Think up a couple of questions to ask the interviewer at the end, there is nothing worse than them saying "Do you have any questions?" and you not having any curiosity!
