What is the annual salary for this role?
Starting salary: £17,000 - £19,000
Current salary: £17,000 - £19,000
What hours do you actually work, on average?
What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Show that you have experience working with protected species through volunteering or training courses, for example, I attended a two day FSC course on British Amphibians, covering the legislation and survey methods. GIS experience is also beneficial.
Do you have any interview tips?
Enthusiasm definitely helps, along with swotting up on the legislation for protected species and habitats. They will probably give you a few plants to ID in the interview too, but don't panic if you don't get them. Also, we use a lot of GIS, so a knowledge of this would help.
