What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £27,000 - £29,000

Current salary: £25,000 - £27,000

What hours do you actually work, on average?

Start: 7:00

Finish: 20:00

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Although the role is for technical engineering, GE will be looking for future leaders of the organisation. Bare this in mind when applying, having 100% is all well and good but if you can't communicate or don't have any initiative, you won't get far.

Do you have any interview tips?

You will go through a telephone interview followed by an assessment day which will consist of 5 interviews and a presentation. It's not as bad as it seems, the telephone interview is more of a chat than an interview to see if you are the right candidate for the job, just be clear and up front with your goals for a program and you'll be fine (just mention things such as "applying what I have learned in university whilst learning new technical and professional skills").

The assessment day is tiring, but not that difficult. You will have a tecnical "interview" (more of a chat) about what you have completed so far in uni and internships. The rest will be basically the same questions reworded to direct the answer towards a different subject i.e. team work, leadship etc.
