What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Application is just to upload a CV and covering letter, which makes things a lot less time consuming than with other employers. Make clear your interest in science and engineering and what you've done/been involved with in the past that highlights this. Make sure to complete every step of the assessment process properly.

Do you have any interview tips?

Phone interview (in some cases,) followed by standard assessment centre format which includes:
- Group Task
- Verbal & Numerical Reasoning
- Competency Interview
- Oral Presentation
- Technical Interview

Be honest if you don't know the answer to a question but let them know your educated guess, or train of thought if it's a problem you are asked to solve.

Use the technical questions you are asked in the phone interview as a basis for what you will be asked in the technical interview at the assessment centre, make sure you know the basics of your subject and the field the job role is within and revise accordingly.
