What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £27,000 - £29,000

Current salary: £27,000 - £29,000

What hours do you actually work, on average?

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Work experience seems to be vital. I was turned down on my first application to Rolls-Royce, despite very strong academic results and 2 summer research placements at university. I was accepted the year after and the only difference was I then had a year in industry under my belt.

Do you have any interview tips?

As for any interview in general try to stay relaxed and don't be worried about taking 30 seconds to think before begining to answer any questions. Although technical questions will of course be based around Rolls-Royce's products, I found the questions were fairly general and could be answered from knowledge gained elsewhere. None were too specific or required any technical knowledge on the products. There were also the usual interview questions, give examples of teamwork, leadership etc, where do you see yourself in 5yrs, why do you want to work at rolls-royce. Give an example on when you've inspired someone else and what current global issues do you think effect the business were ones I'd not been asked elsewhere before.

I found the interviewers were very good and clearly wanted to help you do your best. If they saw you struggling a little bit they would try get you back on track
