What are the Best and Worst things about your job?
Best
Chance to mix with a variety of people in the project offices and out on site. Given a lot of responsibility early on in my career. I have a dedicated chartership mentor. Treated as a professional, even though I am young and early in my career. Taken seriously at meetings and out on site. Feel like my opinion is valued. Enjoy the grad development days and they have definitely helped me grow as a person. Costain pay for my oyster card.
Worst
Long hours and not much opportunity for flexible working. Management spend more time and energy focusing on health and safety and the environment team are treated as a poor relation. I've been here for 15 months and haven't had a single pay review or bonus. Feel like Costain should make more of an effort to retain talented graduates.
