What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Freestyle analytical thinking is more important than knowledge of specific techniques once you're in post - but the opposite is true for the interview and application process (at least currently). Brush up on the techniques you know, but don't think you'll just be doing hardcore number-crunching all day, as there's plenty of stakeholder engagement, project management-y things to do as well.
Do you have any interview tips?
The group exercise isn't a place for sharks - you'll excel if you're relaxed, engaging with others and communicate well, not just if you get your own way. Before you go in there'll be some rumour murmurs of "they look for hand gestures to show good body language" or other such hokum; don't take these to heart and behave unnaturally!
