What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

I am extremely happy with all aspects of my job so it is quite difficult to narrow it down to a few best things. However, I would say the three best things about my job are below:
- First, within my role I was given real responsibility within the business from day one which allowed me to quickly improve and gain a strong understanding of the business.

- Second, Allianz has a fantastic work life balance entwined into its culture. The company appreciates that your life should not be swallowed up with work, even as a Graduate. Allianz would never expect you to do the unnecessarily long shifts done by Graduates from other companies caused by more senior staff dumping their unwanted work on them.

-Third, the support and learning opportunities Allianz offers are exceptional. They offer their Graduates courses, workshops and study days to aid them in their development.

Starting salary: £25,000 - £27,000

Start: 09:00

Finish: 17:00

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

My advice would be to research both Allianz and the Insurance industry before applying. By showing in your application that you have researched crucial areas such as Solvency II, the Ogden rate and IFRS 17 you will highlight to Allianz that you are a candidate worth progressing and investing in.

Do you have any interview tips?

The interview focusses primarily on Allianz's people attributes; Customer and Market Excellence, Collaborative Leadership, Trust and Entrepreneurship, so examples of times when you have shown your proficiency in these areas are crucial. However, it is also important to have a good understanding of Allianz, their competitors and factors currently affecting the Industry.
