What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £23,000 - £25,000

Current salary: £31,000 - £33,000

What hours do you actually work, on average?

Start: 8:30

Finish: 18:00

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

With the application and CV/covering letter I would say the most important thing is to make sure it is checked and checked again, mistakes on these really demonstrate carelessness and a lack of attention to detail.

Do you have any interview tips?

The interviews were both very different, the first one was more focused on competency based questions while the second was a lot less structured and included a 5 min presentation.

With the competency based questions a lot of different skills and attributes were mentioned and examples of when you demonstrated that skill were needed. I would advise preparing a large list of examples which can be used to demonstrate a few different skills, that way as you get a question you can pick the most appropriate situation. Also when thinking of options don’t stick to work or university related examples, things at home or within your social life can just as easily demonstrate good time management and will also reflect more about yourself as a person.
Questions such as ‘what is the biggest risk you have taken?’ and ‘what are your best and worst qualities?’ were also thrown into the interview.

Other advice would be to definitely do your research and show that you have taken the time to understand the market and how the company operates. Things like mission statements and core values of the company are really useful to know.
