What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
I would advise to go through free available practice tests online for the technical assessments before they apply.
Do you have any interview tips?
1) Be organized (prove that you can work in a team, show any drawings you may have produced at university or from any kind of software you may have used).
2) You may be asked the same question two-three times, make sure you answer with the same thing!
3) Go through the company's website and see what they do and any projects they have worked for, any awards they've won.
4) You may not have got any work experience in the engineering sector but show them that you will do the best you can and work hard to prove that they have made the right choice.
5) Learn about ICE (Institution of Civil Engineers) or IStructe and tell them what your plans are for the future, where do you see yourself in five years from now?
