Work experience is great, but if not possible show your passion for working in the engineering industry.
Do you have any interview tips?
Apart from the standard advice like dressing appropriately and speaking clearly etc, I think that having a understanding of the CDM or whole life cycle of a job is really impressive to interviewers. Understanding that you can reduce maintenance or risks on site at the design stage can put you ahead of other applicants. A good technical knowledge is okay, but straight out of university everyone is usually at the same level technically.
