What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

For students looking to get into Construction I'd recommend aiming for a tier 1 contractor and joining their Graduate Scheme. For me, I started off as a Graduate Planner because there was only a vacancy for that role at the time, but I would have applied for any role that was available. Any experience is good experience and it is likely that you can change roles over time and most employers will welcome that if they can accommodate it as it will aid in your progression as an employee.
