What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

If you are studying Mechanical Engineering (not Architectural Design or Building Services Engineering) and applying for this role, spend some time in advance learning about this sector and what building services engineers do (e.g. by looking at job descriptions). Also read a book or two on HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) since it is not directly covered in the Mechanical Engineering Course. Demonstrate that knowledge in your application form and this will also give an advantage at interviews and assessment centres later on.
