What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £21,000 - £23,000

Current salary: £23,000 - £25,000

What hours do you actually work, on average?

Start: 8:00

Finish: 17:15

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Be very flexible in your approach to taking this role, i.e being able to travel as Amey do have a range of various contracts in utilities and highways which need resources to fill any gaps at times through its resource management tool streamline. You will be challenged which is to be expected when starting as a graduate, however encounter that challenge as it pays dividends for yourself in the future.

Do you have any interview tips?

Be very flexible in your approach to taking this role, i.e being able to travel as Amey do have a rage of various contracts in utilities and highways. A master degree is probably at the top of the agenda as so many graduates from university now attain masters, there's lots of competition for these roles. Experience is again vitally important, especially within the highways sector. Amey are very good at advertising and enthusiastic about summer placements, and through good impressions they are more than likely to take on someone that has already worked within the amey environment. Also look into the contracts that Amey have and the work that they are involved in, you'd be suprised. If you mention this at the interview, i.e via through look on Amey's website or even an arcticle on the NCE involving an Amey engineer then they might be impressed.
