What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Don't dwell on technical details - for example bending moment diagrams etc. Instead focus on the ideas behind your work and think of how you can relate projects you have worked on to the role you are applying for and how they can demonstrate your skills. Also know your weaknesses and how you want to improve. Most of all, read the role description carefully and tailor your application to suit.
Do you have any interview tips?
Compared to other interviews I had it was enjoyable and relaxed. They know your CV so just want to get to know you as a person and see what your future plans are. Research the company and focus on the specific area youre applying for. Also research the companies and the ICEs training scheme. Again - focus on the specific role when thinking of your strengths and weaknesses.
