What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

If applying to Lockheed Martin, apply to the Ampthill facility.

Depending on your interests be careful - This can often be IT based engineering which will not include experience directly transferable to mechanical or aerospace industry sectors.

If you like hands on engineering this may not be the role for you! It will not provide you with much experience into design.

It is very good if you wish to transfer to project management or progress to higher levels within a company as it is customer facing and concentrates on many functional areas of a project or programme. It focuses on customer requirements so can switch easily between a business or engineering orientation as the customer business need must be known.
