What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
It is important to get an understanding on the housing industry and also do some research on the company. looking through the annual report and website can be a good starting point to expand your knowledge about the company.
Be yourself and it is important to be honest. Many people in the graduate scheme have studied different disciplines and therefore it is important to understand, although it is a construction company,TW don't expect graduates to be construction geniuses. The graduate scheme helps assist you on areas of development and consolidating your strengths; be enthusiastic, ambitious and explain what you can bring to the company.
Do you have any interview tips?
Be yourself and express your personality. You'll be working with a range of people at TW so good communition skills and the ability to get along with different workers is important.
Prepare your competency questions. Think of situations you have demonstrated the competencies TW look for and be concise when you address this; situation, task, action and result.
Most importantly do your research about the company and the construction industry.
