What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
A distinct feature of this programme is the requirement to move office every six months. Although TW helps you with each move, it would be unwise to apply if you aren't comfortable with this. Don't worry if your degree is unrelated to construction/house building as long as you possess a sensible outlook and a willingness to learn. TW is looking for the right type of person regardless of technical know-how.
Do you have any interview tips?
Taylor Wimpey has a great set of core values and tries to recognise the best in everyone. At an interview be prepared, be honest and be confident of yourself but be aware that you don't necessarily need to be the loudest person in the room to get noticed. With house building constantly featuring in the press (both good and bad), it would be a good idea to make sure you have an up to date knowledge of current industry news which you could link to TW. An idea of the business model could also be helpful.
