What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

People and company culture.
Work-life balance.
Flexibility.
Support and development opportunities.
Benefits package.

Worst

Could be more responsibility whilst in the first year of the graduate scheme, but expected given the fact that you are new to the business/industry and still learning.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £25,000 - £27,000

Current salary: £31,000 - £33,000

What hours do you actually work, on average?

Start: 08:30

Finish: 17:00

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

The basics: team work, team leadership, problem-solving, past work experience, past education, extra-curricular - standard job application preparation.

Practise video interviews, telephone interviews, online tests etc. so that you are ready for when this application comes around.

Make use of university careers services e.g. interview practise sessions / assessment centre sessions / CV building sessions to ensure that you are fully prepared (I could not stress this enough).

Do you have any interview tips?

Be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in the industry, as well as personal motivations for applying for the job role.

Research the current climate of the industry - customer service to name just one has become increasingly important.

A cliché one: be yourself! Taylor Wimpey are looking for genuine people so be open about your background and I would encourage discussing anything that you do that is extra-curricular (provided that it is relevant).
