What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
If applying to physics grad scheme, brush up on basic physics knowledge e.g. the principles of interferometry & laser physics. Normally interviewers are looking for someone that has a decent level of real world physics/ engineering intuition with a little background knowledge.
Do you have any interview tips?
Possible phone interview leading to an assessment day. Assessment day has a group assessment where you solve an engineering style problem in a team and then a face to face interview with 2 engineers.
Quite relaxed interview process but do a bit of rough research about the company and the industry that they're in.
