What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

The level of responsibility I have been afforded has been fantastic and I have felt empowered to do my job.

The company culture and attitude to diversity, work life balance, mental health awareness and many other aspects of human life really is second to none.

There is excellent opportunity for training and personal development as well as other things, like volunteering in the community.

Worst

I genuinely can't think of any.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £25,000 - £27,000

Current salary: £25,000 - £27,000

What hours do you actually work, on average?

Start: 08:30

Finish: 16:30

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Be yourself, take your time and make sure you get plenty of practice beforehand (especially for the numeric/verbal reasoning tests and situational assessments, as for these, practice really does make perfect).

Do you have any interview tips?

There was a video interview which was relatively standard for graduate schemes and then after this at the assessment centre there was a further face to face interview.

For this, we had to prepare a presentation in advance. The interviewer was not interested in what was on the slides and just wanted to hear what I had to say - which was refreshing. It was very relaxed and wasn't stressful in comparison to other assessment centres I had attended.

The presentation was around the water industry and tested our ability to research in advance (the company and the industry) and then some retrospection on what my strengths and weaknesses were and how I can use this knowledge to develop in the role.
