What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

A variety of jobs to do daily, along with working on a number of projects at the same time. Conversing with subcontractors and clients provides insight into the commercial and delivery side from another perspective, helping you understand how all sides work together to achieve targets.

The people you work with form how you view your work. I work with interesting and talented people, who inspire me to progress in my career and support me in doing so.

Do you have any interview tips?

Ensure you are passionate in the role you are applying for. Your skill and experience will grow as you work, GT care about the people more than anything, and if you present yourself as someone they want to work with, you will be top of their list.

You will be expected to research GT and provide a short presentation about your perception of 'GT culture'. In the construction industry, people have to be the most important thing. Health and Safety is PRIORITY, make sure you acknowledge this multiple times.

Role specific- commercial roles require contractual and commercial literacy, as well as being confident handling finances and consulting with clients/subcontractors/co-workers.
