What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

I have a lot of responsibility which helps me feel valued at this early stage in my career.

I have a lot of freedom to manage my own time and prioritise tasks without being led by the hand.

I have had a lot of excellent learning opportunities which have rapidly improved my abilities and knowledge.

Worst

Time pressures due to the volume of work at times.

Needing to take work home at the end of the day.

The Scottish weather - although skin is waterproof.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £25,000 - £27,000

Current salary: £25,000 - £27,000

What hours do you actually work, on average?

Start: 08:00

Finish: 18:00

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Be yourself and be honest. The early careers department who deal with graduate applications are really friendly and understanding but will know if you are just saying what you think they want to hear. Don't be afraid to admit your flaws.

Do you have any interview tips?

Research the company thoroughly, really show that you are interested in working for the company as a lot of the people who work here are proud of their work and representing the company, so showing your interest in things they may have been involved in will go a long way.
Also, have a good number of examples in mind to answer the usual interview questions - "a time you had to think on your feet", "a time when you made a mistake and how did you deal with it", "a time you were in a position of responsibility" etc.
Be yourself and try to enjoy it. My interview/recruitment day was actually a lot of fun and through informal discussion, I discovered that the interviewer and I shared a link to the same amateur football team which can only have helped my chances.
