What hours do you actually work, on average?

Start: 8:45

Finish: 17:30

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Make it interesting. They get thousands of applications so try and stand out - think about how most people would answer a question and try and put a different spin on it - you'll stick in the assessor's mind which is half the battle.

Things like spelling and punctuation are also incredibly important. When you have that volume of applications a tiny mistake can be the reason you don't make the first cut.

Last thing, if you want to work in London put it as your first choice. If you want a region, put that. Don't try and play a tactical game. If an assessor from the regions thinks you actually want London that may well stand against you as they won't want to choose someone who they think will leave as soon as they qualify.

Do you have any interview tips?

Show them you are someone they would want to work with, not only because you can do the job, but also because of who you are as a person. Experience and 'the right degree' will only get you so far. You want them to finish your interview and think 'I really want that person on my team'. So relax and make sure you have some questions for them.
