What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

The culture - Taylor Wimpey is a very people focused company. There is lots of support when things aren't going well and lots of recognition when they are! There is a large focus on doing things right and we are never put into a position where we are expected to do the wrong thing. Graduates rotate around all of the departments initially giving invaluable business breadth and it allows for a more informed decision as to which department suits best. Everyone at Taylor Wimpey is very approachable. From people working on site, in the office and all the way up through directors, MD's, DMD's - you will get the chance to meet some very senior people and they will always be happy to give you some time and have a chat.

Worst

The moving around aspect of the graduate scheme is tough. It does give amazing exposure to how the company differs at different offices and in different areas of the country, which I know will come in very useful in my future career. However, there is a lack of structure to the moving, and we are not asked about where we want to go, which is slightly unfair and I think doesn't fit the Taylor Wimpey ethos that focuses on people.
