What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Research the Lloyd's insurance market in detail and gain an understanding for how it's a Market (not an insurer) and the service it provides to its syndicates. Learn about Chaucer's lines of business, with thoughts towards which areas of underwriting are of particular interest and why. My main point would be to understand how specialist insurance is different e.g. to personal lines insurance and to show a genuine interest in the market. Also focus on why you want to work for Chaucer, looking at how it differentiates itself form its competitors.
Do you have any interview tips?
There was a large focus on team work in the competency-based interview questions.
