What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

Having real responsibility from day 1. It's a huge organization so there are lots of different projects and opportunities to get involved with. Everyone is extremely helpful and being a graduate everyone is more than happy to go through things with you or get you involved with things if there is a particular area of the business that you want to learn more about.

Worst

Being a big organization there are so many different areas and departments even just within HR so probably won't get the opportunity to work closely with them all.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £27,000 - £29,000

Current salary: £27,000 - £29,000

Finish: 17:00

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Do some research into the company, their values and the strategy and try to think about this and incorporate it throughout the recruitment process. Although it is not expected that you have a HR background I definitely found having some HR knowledge useful and made me feel more confident especially at the experience day so maybe do a little research or read a few articles before hand (but again not expected to have a HR background so don't worry if you don't!).

Do you have any interview tips?

I try and use the STAR technique in interviews and I know a lot of companies like this technique so I would make sure you are familiar with this. After doing some research into the company values & strategy it might become clear what skills they value so try to think of times that you have demonstrated these skills (e.g. at uni, school or part-time jobs) and then try to fit this into the STAR technique in your answer.
