Best

Amount of experience and responsibility you are given from day one. Colleagues in the HR department are always keen to hear what you are doing and offer support too.

Worst

Initially a fair bit of administration activities, but this is needed to understand the business.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £25,000 - £27,000

Current salary: £25,000 - £27,000

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Really read and understand the questions being asked on the initial application, and make sure you have answered them following a technique such as STAR. This is the same for the video/telephone interview, most of the questions were competency based.

Do you have any interview tips?

At the assessment centre I was required to prepare a presentation aboout myself, and the importance of HR in Balfour Beatty. There was also a group task and an interview. Just relax and be yourself - the day isn't as scary as it sounds!
