What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

How great my colleagues are. Everyone is really nice and will happily help if you need it. Knowing that company cares about the employees is also reassuring. They put a lot of effort into making people happy and they have a big stance on mental well being.

The company provides pastoral care which is great. They are always on standby to answer any questions, give advice or just for a chat if you need it.

Worst

The uncertainty of where and when you may be placed with a client.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £15,000 - £17,000

Current salary: £15,000 - £17,000

What hours do you actually work, on average?

Start: 09:00

Finish: 17:30

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Do not panic that you may not have enough skills/knowledge for the job. The point of the Academy is to be able to train anyone to become a software tester. Just be positive and willing to learn.

Do you have any interview tips?

Honestly just be yourself. They really want to see if you would fit in with the company and if you have the potential to be a software tester. Be excited to learn and develop yourself.

Research about what the company offers, their clients, basic terminology.

Work with others on the assessment day as teamwork is a big part of the role.
