What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

They trust me to manage my own work whilst making sure I have the support I need. The culture is fantastic - everyone truly appreciates each other and makes a point to shout about other colleagues' skills and achievements. The opportunities for progression and training were incredible - I'm learning software development on the job, with amazing mentors and learning opportunities, whilst being paid. I feel like everyone has my back.

Worst

Not with my own line of management or branch of the Reed group, but the central grad scheme has often been difficult to get hold of (due to the number of grads and different technologies/ways of working in each of the groups at Reed). Also, the process for appraisal/pay raise was not as clear or flexible as it should be.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £29,000 - £31,000

Current salary: £31,000 - £33,000

What hours do you actually work, on average?

Start: 09:30

Finish: 18:00

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Be patient, but don't be afraid to follow up when you need to - for me at least, it was a really long process.

Do you have any interview tips?

Come prepared with situations from your work experience (or volunteering, uni etc.) you want to talk about and ways they might be relevant. I know it's really common advice, but I noted down ~10 situations I could speak to and used the STAR method and that worked for me.
