What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
If you like talking to people listening and advising on what you hear then you definitely should apply.
Research on technology as much as you can if you don't know already it will help you understand what people are talking about on the phone when you first call people and help you have a head start but there will be lots of training offered on the job too.
Do you have any interview tips?
You will be asked how you can compare previous jobs/ experience to recruitment. What you think would be important in the role, what makes a good recruitment consultant? There will be phone call role play and tests on the phone so practice.
