Starting salary: £35,000 - £37,000

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Put across how flexible you are as a person and how mobile you are, as Schlumberger will move you abroad at some point in your career. Show how well you work in stressful situations (Offhsore you are the only person there that can fix your equipment.... When a rig cost 1.5 million dollars a day to run, when you waste time, people will shout at you..)
Make sure you put across your personality!! SLB is very people orientated and you need to be a certain type of person to do the jobs we do. Being academically smart might not make you a good suit for SLB..
Do you have any interview tips?
You do a 5 min presentation about yourself. Pay attention to the time constraint. Usual interview questions can be expected as well as team building (build paper towers etc), math/problem solving tests. And putting together an air valve using a schematic diagram.
