What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Research the business - we have a long history of innovation, change and engineering expertise in areas most would overlook. As a business, we do not make large parts or complete 'products' but all of our components are essential to the workings of the modern world.
Illustrate why you want the job clearly - why do you want to be a leader? What are your career aims? You need to consider this carefully before you apply.
The Graduate programme is 2.5 years long, in which you will have a minimum of two placements lasting 6-12 months. If you want to stay in one location then this isn't the job for you! Opportunities are global though considerations can be made if you wanted to remain within Europe only for example.

Do you have any interview tips?

Be prepared to show examples of leadership - don't worry if you haven't managed people before. Leadership could be in a variety of everyday challenges be it taking part in a sports team, helping others in a difficult situation or working on a project!
Be yourself - you will be taking a psychometric test as part of the application, and your interview will be based on the outcome of this. Be honest and stay true to yourself - the interviewers will know if you're not!
Look smart - it's an obvious point but one that many forget! Iron your shirt, wear a tie, get your suit dry-cleaned etc. We understand that people often have to travel for interviews, but this is not an excuse to be scruffy!
Be prepared - the day will include multiple challenges both individually and as a team; make sure you are prepared for presentations, 1:1 sessions, group tasks, etc.
