What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Research local government and understand the challenges faced both current and future. Look at this from both a communities/societal prespective and a organisational prespective. The key to success in getting on to the scheme is demonstrating a passion for working in local government and wanting to make a difference whilst also demonstrating commercial acumen.

Again, do your research. Every local authority is different and so they will want to know that you have an understanding of their ethos, values and the way in which they work.
