What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Be confident and be yourself as it will shine through. I would say to be successful on this scheme you need to have a genuine need to support communities along with a business outlook so that you can make sound financial decisons whilst ensuring that communities continue to get the support they need.
Do you have any interview tips?
Think about why you want to work in local government and be honest - don't just say the things that you think people want to hear. From my experience, my council liked to employ graduates with different skills and styles to form part of a team that complemented each other.
