What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

Opportunity to experience multiple jobs across the industry. Additionally to make a huge network of contacts and undertake a well planned and beneficial training programme which puts you in a fantastic place to secure well paid long term roles following the scheme.

Worst

Regular relocation and commencing in new working environments which can take a month or so to settle in. (This is a benefit in the long run however).

Starting salary: £25,000 - £27,000

Current salary: £25,000 - £27,000

What hours do you actually work, on average?

Start: 08:00

Finish: 17:00

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Look at the website and other documentation. Understand the specific skills they are looking for and how what you have done at university and otherwise meets these criteria.

Do you have any interview tips?

The assessment centre is always going to be an unfamiliar scenario. Try as best you can to relax and behave as you would in any other working situation.

The assessors will be able to see your full potential if you are being honest, truthful and acting as you see fit and not how you expect to be acting.

Read up on the scheme, the companies who sponsor graduates and the industry as a whole. You don't need to be a nuclear boffin to get a job, but doing some research goes a long way in showing your interest in the sector.
