What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
This is the same for all companies:
Personalise the application to the company.
Research what they are looking for in their applicants, and demonstrate why you meet/exceed these expectations.
Demonstrate any engineering skills you have developed (workshop skills, trechnical drawign, CAD etc).
Make it clear why do you want to work for Rolls-Royce.
Do not mention Rolls-Royce cars unless you are proving a point that you know they are a separate companies. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd (previously Rolls-Royce Motors founded in 1973) and Rolls-Royce Plc (after re-privatisation in 1987).

Prior to Interview:
Spend time learning about the company through it's website.
Research the history of the company.
Learn about the different sectors that Rolls-Royce operates in, and the product portfolios for each sector (there is no expectation for you to list products).
At Interview:
As before, don't start talking about the cars ... they have not been part of the business since 1973.
