What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

It is challenging and constantly changing. I get to work with a wide range of people who are all very friendly and helpful. There is a lot of planning and organising which I thoroughly enjoy.

Worst

Workload can be quite high when you first start. The team is great at support, but not all aspects of basic training are covered when you first start (or can be too advanced), meaning a lot of on the job training occurs.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £27,000 - £29,000

Current salary: £27,000 - £29,000

What hours do you actually work, on average?

Start: 07:30

Finish: 16:15

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Research the company - Renishaw looks for employees who are innovative, hardworking and approachable. They have a lot of different divisions, so there is a lot of potential for moving around divisions and gaining a lot of experience from the different areas. Have a loose career path in mind - I feel Renishaw puts a lot of work and time into their employees to keep in suitable but still challenging roles.

Do you have any interview tips?

Think outside of the box. Try to be relaxed and yourself - Renishaw has a very friendly and relaxed environment. Research the areas of business Renishaw are moving into as well as have a good understanding of the strongest parts of their business.
