What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Be honest in your answers during the application stage. Take your time to really consider the questions and be prepared to have to answer some curveballs in your telephone interview. I got asked to tell a joke so have one handy just in case...
In your written application stage, make sure you detail where what you have done has made a difference, or has demonstrated your skills effectively. They won't be expecting you to know everything but you need to show that you can be dynamic and have the capacity to learn and grow into the Amey culture
Do you have any interview tips?
Be honest, open and most of all, yourself. Do your research into the company, it is not a construction company, it is a service provider. Have knowledge on the vast majority of services that the company offers. Read up on the website about the culture as this is something that Amey values and will be looking for in you when you interview. Be flexible, in both geographical location, and job role, the nature of the business requires it. Demonstrate common sense and a willingness to work hard and deliver.
