What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

- Colleagues
- No micro-management
- Genuine interest in your input and thoughts
- Supported development from various areas of the business (line managers, Early Careers, The Academy)
- Company culture actually lives up to their values and ethos (ISG don't just use soundbites, they actually do what they say they will)
- Commercial awareness
- Constant learning and knowledge sharing
- Clients that you get to work with (varied and some very interesting projects)
- Intellectually stimulating, tasks aren't tedious / don't just revolve around data input
- Travel opportunities to meet with clients
- Continuous improvement is valued

Worst

- Lack of socials / events with colleagues across different locations (although this is a temporary measure, socials hoped to ramp up soon)

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

- Align your application with ISG values

- Demonstrate your interest in what you're applying to (no stock answers)

- Try to enjoy the process as much as possible - it'll shine through. Try to avoid stressing yourself out by treating it like an exam etc.

Do you have any interview tips?

- Understand and learn the ISG values alongside times when you have lived these values yourself (personal experience)

- Research the company and what they do, past projects and live projects - genuine + authentic interest is important

- Understand your weaknesses, strengths, preferred working and communication styles (gives you something to talk about in interview)
