What are the Best and Worst things about your job?
Best
The people I work with and the amazing culture at TJX. I love that I can drive my own development, I am able to shape my goals and the projects I work on to achieve them. There is so much collaboration at TJX, I love having the oppourtunity to meet new people and learn about different areas of the business. I also really enjoy all the rep roles and community groups I have been able to be a apart of, which really diversifies my everyday.
Worst
As with any job, there is always some more mundane and routine tasks which have to be completed. Some aspects of merchandsing can be a little repetitive but there is always ways of making them more interesting, engaging people using different approaches or working with the IT team to automise them!

Starting salary: £23,000 - £25,000
Current salary: £31,000 - £33,000

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
TJX looks for people who are aware of the European market, anyway you can exemplify this will help! Whether its speaking another language, doing a year out or just reading the newspaper, knowing whats going on in international markets is always useful. TJX is not concerned by which degree you have - if at all - its more about your passion for the retail sector, function and role. Show you are curious, eager to learn and most importantly, interested in the business model of an off price retailer.
Do you have any interview tips?
Be yourself!! TJX prides itself on hiring nice people, someone the interviewers would want to work with. Positivity, curiousity and authenticity is key during the interview. Be yourself, but your best self, make sure you come prepared, have done your reading and know what makes off price retail different to full price. Team work is also part of the assessment day so consider how you come across when working in a group dynamic.
