What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
If you can be approachable and friendly and hold a conversation with someone you don't know then you can consider yourself for the job. The knowledge of wine is not necessary and it is all learnt once in the role. Be prepared to work long days and do a lot of manual handling.
Do you have any interview tips?
In the first interview you will be asked to sell the interviewer a bottle of wine. They aren't looking for product knowledge, they are looking for engagement and selling Majestic as a brand and the USP's the company has. These can be learnt by visiting any one of the stores and chatting to staff.
