What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

Good exposure to a number of disciplines that support the strategic land function.

Excellent support network.

Frequent exposure to senior members of staff.

Worst

Unfortunately, all of the Taylor Wimpey graduate schemes pay the same.

Strategic Land graduates will find a lot of responsibility and pressure once they find their feet in the function (typically around 6-12 months). However, this is not reflected in your pay nor benefits.

When you compare this level of responsibility to those that are on the General Graduate scheme (who make up a large % of the yearly intake), it becomes increasingly frustrating.

In addition, all graduates are offered the same pay at the end of the graduate scheme (providing you get offered a role). Once again, this is unfair as Strategic Land (plus I.T and Finance) graduates have established themselves in a role and have worked considerably longer hours and taken far greater responsibility over the course of the previous 2 years.

I truly believe this needs reviewing, otherwise, their retention of good graduates will continue to be low.
