What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

Stable and secure job.
Benefits from the job such as company car and fuel card.
Company culture.
Team culture.
Good Management.
Drive around and see the country and interesting areas.

Worst

Does have the repetitive side.
Job is made more difficult by government's and councils because they do not like development.
People with opposing views always seem to shout the loudest, even for good projects such as the Oxford-Cambridge Arc railway that was shelved because people knew it would bring more housing along with it.

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Try and get some experience in the development world even if it's only for a day, week or longer. Whether that be with a planning consultancy, agency or working for another developer.
